Figure 1: Most Sturdy: Vertical screw and horizontal wire. Figure 2: Less Sturdy: Horizontal screw and horizontal wire. Best for factory wiring only. Figure 3: Least Sturdy: Horizontal screw and vertical wire. Best for factory wiring only. In Figure 2 and 3 orientation, when using a headed screw or ring lug and bolt it's recommended that the head of the screw hangs off the edge of the board. Screws with little or no clearance between the head of the screw and the board can result in mechanical and electrical fouling.
