Machine Operator - Full-Time Manufacturing Job

IHI Connectors is a growing employee-owned manufacturing company located at 7700 St. Clair Avenue in Mentor, Ohio.

We are hiring full-time Machine Operators for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. This is a hands-on manufacturing job for mechanically minded people who like fixing things, solving problems, and learning how machines work.

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining assigned machines while maintaining quality and expected tolerances of machined parts per specifications.

Responsibilities

Set up, run, and maintain production machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and help keep production running.
Monitor assigned machines and maintain part quality.
Use basic tools, mechanical judgment, and hands-on problem solving.
Learn high-speed automated equipment and machine setup.

Requirements

No prior machine operator experience required.
Mechanical experience with basic tools is required.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required.
Must score 80% or better on a mechanical aptitude test.
The shorter mechanical aptitude test takes about 20 minutes.

Good Backgrounds for This Job

You may be a strong fit if you have experience fixing engines, cars, motorcycles, farm equipment, tools, machinery, production equipment, or anything mechanical.

We are looking for people who can learn, persist, diagnose problems, and use mechanical common sense.

Schedule, Overtime, and Shift Premium

1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions are available. Second and third shift include a $2.00 per hour shift premium.

Some critical work centers may require a minimum of 48 hours per week. Hours over 40 are paid at 1.5x rate.
